Jayanta Nath is an Indian singer, composer, music director, film director from Jorhat, Assam. His contributions are mostly in Assamese music, Assamese film industry and Mobile theater of Assam. He has composed more than five hundred songs in Assamese and other regional languages.

He started his musical career, by singing in Moina Parijat. He won many All Assam level singing competitions in his early days. In 1985, he recorded his 1st song Shilpi Tumi from the Saraighat album along with Legendary Dr. Bhupen Hazarika. Some of his popular songs are - Buku Bhori, Hahire Sokulu Dhaki, Aai Mur Axomi etc. He has composed several songs with Bharat Ratna Bhupen Hazarika, Kumar Sanu, Asha Bhosle, Sonu Nigam, Vinod Rathod, Abhijit, Mahalakshmi Iyer, Zubeen Garg, Pulak Banerjee, Santa Uzir, Ridip Dutta etc. He has sang many songs with Bhupen Hazarika.

His career in Film Industry started by assisting director Dara Ahmed in several movies, he also directed the music in his films. In 2004 he released his 1st movie as a director Hriday Kapowa Gaan. He released his 2nd movie Karma Ke Rati in 2013. Hahire Sokulu Dhaki is a serial in Doordarshan directed by him. He also directed several Video Films, Documentary, Short films etc.

Jayanta Nath also worked on several mobile theater productions like Sankardev Theater, Theater BhagyaDevi etc. He also works on several amateur theater in Jorhat.

Jayanta Nath married Juri Rani Nath in 1998 and have two children Akash Jyoti Nath and Anhelix (Ayon Jyoti Nath). Anhelix is a record producer and musician.
